Ethics and the EHS Professional

What should EHS professionals do when conflicts arise between management directives and ethical decision-making? Should you place your professional certifications at risk to preserve your jobs? Using practical examples from legal cases handled by the speaker, this session will address ethical quandaries that may arise when managing workplace health and safety. We’ll address the ethical codes of BCSP and AIHA, as well as legal exposure for those managing EHS issues. You’ll learn about best practices and protections for EHS professionals under the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act.
