Dynamic Storytelling Science: How Stories Affect the Mind
Approved 1
This workshop is designed to address the gap of knowing but not acting. We’ll explore the science behind why storytelling works – combining neuroscience, behavioral research and practical application to help you design messages that influence real-world decisions. When ignored, key messages are forgotten quickly; training prepares people to pass a quiz, not make decisions; and safety becomes a compliance exercise rather than a lived value. With a blend of science, strategy and hands-on practice, we’ll discuss how traditional safety training fails to change behavior, how the brain processes stories versus rules and bullet points, the neurological role of attention and emotion, and what research shows about effective storytelling. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of why stories influence behavior.
