Working in EHS requires demands sound judgment, integrity and a strong ethical foundation. But unlike other professions, EHS lacks licensing and codes of conduct, placing greater responsibility on individuals to navigate ethical challenges and “gray areas.” In this session, we’ll explore real-world scenarios in which legal requirements, organizational pressures and ethical considerations intersect. Together, we’ll examine decision-making frameworks, review professional guidelines, and reflect on personal and professional values that influence everyday decisions. This session challenges assumptions, encourages critical reflection, and helps shift decision-making from externally driven compliance to intrinsic accountability. You’ll gain the confidence and skills to respond with integrity when answers aren’t clear – and be better prepared to ask and answer the tough question: What would you do?
