Become World Class by Integrating World Cultures
Approved 2
It’s one of the most urgent challenges in the EHS profession: the high rate of serious injuries and fatalities among Hispanic/Latin and ESL workers – particularly new hires. As the construction workforce becomes increasingly diverse, traditional communication and training methods are falling short. And with rising suicide rates and low literacy levels across much of the workforce, the need for new approaches is critical. This session will equip you with culturally informed strategies to improve engagement, understanding and trust on the jobsite. We’ll explore key cultural differences and inclusive leadership practices to better prepare you to assess hazards with empathy; close communication gaps; and build stronger, safer teams.
