Throughout the profession – and even prescribed by safety management system standards – is a need to evaluate the safety and health considerations associated with change. Most often, this is done through the Management of Change process. This session is a deep dive into the current ISO 45001 and ANSI Z10 Standards as they relate to the process. MOC allows for functions such as safety, security and quality to have a hand in reducing risk, addressing risk opportunity and better controlling the hazards that will result from the change activity. However, it frequently fails to consider the human element of change. You’ll learn about a six-step process that runs parallel to the MOC program to better engage workers at all levels.
