Campbell Institute Workshop: Expanding the SIF Lens: Recognizing Musculoskeletal Disorders as Life-Altering Injuries
Serious incident and fatality (SIF) prevention programs often focus on acute, high-energy events, but what if organizations are overlooking a significant category of life-altering harm? Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) can permanently impact workers’ quality of life, careers, and wellbeing, yet they are rarely considered within SIF frameworks and metrics.
This interactive workshop challenges conventional thinking by exploring MSDs through a SIF prevention lens. Through the introduction of helpful tools, peer discussion, and practical case studies, participants will examine the challenges, opportunities, and business implications of integrating MSD prevention into serious incident prevention efforts. Walk away with new perspectives on how to better identify, prioritize, and prevent the injuries that have the greatest impact on workers and organizations alike.
Pre-registration is required to attend this workshop.Â
